Guidelines for Translation Rates
- The exact rate depends on the specific amount of text on the pages of the text or book.
- The amount of text per page can be calculated based on many factors. These include the page size, number of lines per page, length of each line, and number of syllables per page or per line.
- The exact quotation is usually based on the average number of syllables per per page.
- Consideration is given to the subject material of the text, as more difficult topics require more time for research.
- Any extra work required is also taken into account, such Tibetan and Sanskrit phonetic transcription, etc.
